[Hmmm not really. What kind of AUs and tropes do you like? I'm pretty much a hopeless romantic: slice-of-life AUs or AUs set in a fantasy setting or fairy tale, and I'm an unrepentant sucker for kissing and anything that leads to it. (Also why I'm a fan of the Pocky Game meme.) And I'm also flexible so is there any stuff YOU like in particular?]
[Let's see, no smut obviously, in the mood for something more lighthearted so no super heavy angst for now please (some mild hurt/comfort would be okay though). And probably wanna skip scenarios that are require a lot of implied CR since I kinda want to play out either them meeting or just getting to know each other (Pillow Talk, Engagement or Marriage, etc). Other than that, laissez les bons temps rouler!]

[He hadn't known what to make of Allura when they first met on that wild dance floor, with her eyes that shined with flowers and hair that seemed to drift on the melodic breeze of the music like clouds in a brilliant summer sky. Her wit was charming; her sincerity and compassion disarming in a way that he hadn't experienced since the day he met the Exalt on the castle grounds in Ylisstol.
'Twitterpated', Robin imagined some of his comrades would describe this. The way his heart fluttered at the thought of her certainly seemed to fit the definition.
Thus it was that Robin sought connection with her through the Amulets, carefully calling out to her in such a manner that wouldn't be too much of a bother that afternoon.]
Princess? I would like to see you, if you're available.
[I rolled Separation from angst which could roll nicely into what we talked about last night. Had the idea of separated during a job in some remote place, and the find one another at the end of it. And things happen. Emotional things.
Want to AU Felicia into modern world as Lara's travel buddy or play a post Far Shore one? ]
[Fair enough. I actually spun my globe a few times and stuck my finger on it to see where it'd end up. I landed on a large lake in Kazakhstan, on the border with China and Russia. So why not that area. Any particular place you want to start?]
Felicia had mulled over that notion multiple times since Lara had left her that morning to take a cursory look at the local ruins while Felicia restocked their supplies with some help from the locals and secured their camp. It was summer in the northern hemisphere, and the unseasonable warmth of Siberia that year was noticeable even as far west as the plains of Kazakhstan. The instability of the weather was unearthing new sites almost daily-- and this particular lake had caught Lara's fascination as the details filtered through her academic channels.
When her partner hadn't returned by mid-afternoon to at least check in, Felicia grew worried. Cellphones were out as an option this far into the countryside, and radio signals were scrambled due to a variety of influences in the area.
She had no choice, but to explore on foot.
Felicia's boots fell heavily as she cut across the boundaries of the lake to the site, and she fought to ignore the forboding squelching sound that burbled forth when the mud sucked at her every footstep. Her heart fluttered with worry-- this far out in the wilderness, they had little hope of back up if the worst happened.
She stopped when she came upon a rock, lifted an arm to shield her eyes from the sun as she searched out the ruins with her gaze.]
Oh, please.... [she murmured, the normally peppy ring of her voice dulled with her maelstrom of concerns.]
[Felicia's instinct wasn't wrong in this case. It wasn't a good idea to stay in one place for too long out here, with the aggressive wildlife and the potential for other accidents and little dangers that were to be had in the more remote areas of the world. That was saying nothing about Trinity, the shadowy organization Lara had been dogging for months, and there was not telling if any of the locals had been paid off by the group to deal with Croft and her nosy friend.
But that wasn't what was holding up Lara today.
Boots crunching on gravel as she shambled down the slope from a rugged mountain pass, Lara Croft wiped away sweat and blood with a stained bit of cloth. Clothes torn in places from branches and scrapes, her quiver empty and her gun close at hand, she looked light she'd been fighting a war and not exploring a small archaeological site. That had been the goal today, honestly. Just check out the ruins, see if they led where she thought they might, then move on deeper into the Altai mountains and Mongolia. They were so close to discovering clues to the final resting place of Börte Üjin, the first wife of Temujin, the man who would become known as the Great Khan and Lord of the Golden Horde.
Things clearly hadn't gone as planned, and they never did, but she'd made it to the lake at least.
Water was her first thought, her steps picking up as she staggered down the path towards the glassy surface of the mountain lake. Too tired to notice anyone was around, she walked into Felicia's line of sight and dropped to her knees at the shore, greedily scooping water into her mouth with both hands.]
[Alarm bells resounded in Felicia's heart when she caught sight of Lara staggering into sight in far worse shape than what she had been last seen in. The mud and dirt were expected in this line of work, but no amount of experience would ever make the haggard look in Lara's eyes ever okay.]
Oh my gosh-- Lara?!
[Felicia scrambled over the stones and through the mud toward her friend, her heart leaping for joy at finding her alive while her mind raced with every possibility of what could still be wrong and what could come.
Even for an archaeologist, Lara's life was more dangerous than most.]
[Felicia, as strangely ditzy as she could be at times, may have missed some of the story. Or may not. Trinity was a can of worms Lara hadn't really tried to drag out into the open, not with her, but it was entirely possible that her partner had in fact picked up on it anyway. Lara wasn't exactly hiding it, just not directly involving her.
The sound of a voice and feet on stone drew Lara upright, whirling reflexively, but thankfully she hadn't immediately gone for the gun at her waist. Fingers splayed out wide, she blinked in startled surprise.]
Felicia?!
[Hopping up, shaking the water off her hands, she stepped closer. Mud, blood, and sweat still streaked down her face, but there was a smile there. For her, there'd always be one.]
God, what are you doing all the way out here? Thought you were at camp.
[Felicia looked around the dining hall, a tray of tea precariously balanced in her hands as she searched out the man she had been tasked with shadowing that evening. He was the head butler of this affair-- and she would do well to learn from him.
But, after a dozen broken plates and an overturned tray of petit fours, her night was clearly off to a bad start. She wanted to make ammends, somehow. Brows furrowed in worry, she nervously chewed on her lip as she shook her head.]
No, that's not right. It's A... A....
[Her eyes brightened when she caught sight of the man in her reverie-- and she abruptly lifted a hand to wave him down.]
Amano-saaaaannn~~~!
[Blue eyes sparkled with pride at remembering her manners, but her joy was short lived.
Felicia quickly yelped in surprise when the tray in her hand wobbled, and she moved to restore it to proper balance.. but her efforts were too little, too late. With a crash the delicate china of the teapot shattered on the tile at her feet, sending shards of porcelain scattering in every direction while the delicate darjeeling blend that had been picked out and meticulously brewed for the occassion pooled around her feet.
And the maid, once so peppy, visibly wilted at the sight.]
Oh, no....
I guess I should go get something to mop this all up before there's real trouble.
[ Ando half-turns at the sound of a name that vaguely resembles his own just in time to see all that china shatter on the floor. Rather than visibly react, however, he seems to - slide - and when next his body comes into focus, he's kneeling on the ground at Felicia's feet, busily mopping up the mess with an absorbent towel while sweeping the shattered pieces into one hoof. ]
Do not trouble yourself. Begin re-preparing the water.
[ Really, in a way, having a team of staff looking to him is more of a luxury than Ando is used to. Is he...is he doing this properly? Master Hibiki rarely participates in such collaborative ventures. The success of this one is, therefore, paramount! But to think that a whole staff of assistants should turn to him for guidance...a staff including not only waiters and cooks, but also...m-maids....
Ando Rei is wedded to his job and dating a goat. It is entirely possible that he has never spoken to a woman his own age in his entire life.
His stiffness is therefore one part decorum and three parts nerves. Did he...respond correctly...? What if she remains, engages in...in conversation...?
[Felicia herself was far from worried about this butler's stiff manner and demeanor. She figured it might have been a part of his training, as was the case with many in domestic service, and didn't give it more than a passing thought beyond concern about whether her own bubbly spirit was considered unprofessional. Quickly recovering herself, Felicia smoothed out her apron and quickly spun on her heel to run into the kitchen--
Only to slip on the still slick floor careening into the Goat Butler with a startled yelp.]
[ Ando manages to lift the broken pieces of china he'd been gathering up over his head with one hoof while steadying Felicia with the other. What--what does he do? What does he say?! Is she all right? Oh, it would be awful for tragedy to befall anyone while he was working on this special occasion....Master Hibiki was so looking forward to entertaining actual royalty....as their equal, of course....
He is staring down at her with absolutely no idea what to do. ]
[Her cheeks flushed red with embarrassment in the moment before she buried herself in her hands and sank like a heavy stone in his gracious hooves. The floor beneath her feet frosted over faintly in her embarrassment, for-- oh, Gods, Jakob was right!
She really was an embarrassment, and a terrible maid! The evening was surely ruined now!]
[ That is the only word Ando can think of right now. But he is providing poor service in so doing, and that must not be allowed to happen! Master Hibiki is counting on him!! Her elite constitution can only tolerate exposure to top-class behavior!
Ando steadies Felicia and leaps, legs spread like a bounding goat, away from her - but only to deposit the broken china where it belongs. Then he's hurrying back with a tissue box.
He offers her the tissues. ] Please, kindly feel no distress.
[ Is having other servants to cooperate with really this difficult? Or is he not up to the task?
Ah, were he only as amazing as Master Hibiki! She would have this maid smiling, buoyed by her brilliance! ]
[It had been a short while since their travelling party had separated from An Lili and went along different paths after they completed their tasks on the Sei borders. It was a chance for all of them to breathe after the chaos and process everything that had happened. And Shin-Ah, for his part, was finding it increasingly difficult to take his gaze off of any of their small family in the days that followed.
He worried after them. He worried about how this would affect them. He worried about how everyone would hold themselves emotionally in the aftermath of Yona and Lili's abduction, Lili's near execution, and yet another encounter with Soo-Won...
That man, with those eyes... As much as Shin-Ah had wanted to follow Kija's lead, he found that he couldn't lift his sword against that man for reasons that were hard to explain. The other Dragons would understand, he knew, but Hak...
Hak, he wasn't so certain. A part of him didn't want Hak to find out, because surely the Thunderbeast must be wrestling with his own emotions on the matter, like they all were.]
[Soo-Won had enraged him when he had saw him again. He wanted nothing more than to slaughter him. He only stopped because of Yona. And since that day, he wondered if he could ever see Soo-Won without the desire to murder him in pure revenge.
He takes a deep breath as they settle in for the night. His mind has yet to calm down from the event. He only wanted to protect Yona from being further harmed.
He didn't initially realize Shin-Ah was there, nearby. But when he did, he turned to look at him, and nodded slowly.]
