Closed RP Post -- Wouldn't It Be Nice

[She had an idea for how to surprise Penelo that evening when she got back from her class-- as a celebration for a semester successfully completed and finals week finally being over! Felicia could barely contain herself in her excitement as she flitted about Pen's apartment making preparations, stocking the fridge with drinks, ordering food.... until finally she flopped onto the sofa to wait.

And wait.

And wait.

Her hair was done up in a pair of tight buns atop her head to keep it out of the way in the early summer heat, and she was dressed in nothing but a comfortable camisole and a pair of barely there, flowery patterned cotton shorts, On the floor next to her was an adorably wrapped package covered in a cute chocobo mascot pattern and a simple bow, in  theme that altogether fit with her whimsy and her sense of fun.

...After what felt like a million years, Felicia finally buried her face in the pillows and moaned in frustration.]

Oh~! Did I misread her schedule again?!

[The semester's end had drug on just a little bit longer than necessary. On and on, and there was some really important stuff that the prof had wanted to go over. It'd delayed things, far, far too much and thrown her schedule off, so she was trotting up the steps of her apartment about thirty minutes late.

And having no idea that Felicia was waiting, she wasn't in any particular hurry.

Not that she wasn't ready to be home, of course.

Pushing open the door, she stepped inside and blinked when she saw the lights on and smelled not only the food but Felicia's perfume.]

Hello?

[Pushing the door shut behind her...]

Felicia, is that you?

[maidhem]

No, it's Charlotte from downstairs~ ♥

[Felicia called in a sing-song voice, rolling off of the sofa with all of the grace of a clumsy puppy and giggling to herself when Pen entered the room.]

I wanted to surprise you to celebrate the end of Finals. How'd you think you do?

[mincingminuet]

[Pen kicks off her shoes and drops her bag before walking over and grabbing Felicia into a hug.]

I think I did just fine. Had a bit of a lecture on some stuff after about policies and procedures after, but first semester done.

[She grins, leaning in for a little kiss.]

Thanks babe. You did okay too, I hope? I know you finished up yesterday.

[Giggling, Felicia returned that kiss in kind and squeezed Pen tight in her arms with her barely contained excitement, for she was eager to embrace the freedom of a vacation with Pen and everyone else they had met over the last few months.]

It was boring, general stuff.

[Felicia said with a lazy grin, not at all worried about her finals for this semester.] The fun classes start in the spring. The people in the office just want the freshmen to get all the basic stuff out of the way first, so bor-ing~

That's true. I've got actual in-major classes to start, finally. I cannot wait for a chance to really start programming for class.

[Pen grins back, leaning away a little to look Felicia up and down. Her thumb rubs over the hem playfully, seriously digging this new look]

New outfit? I like, I like. You put it on just for me?

[Felicia said with a teasing wink.]

I may have just put it on because it's hot out, you know.

[Which it really was hot out, with the turn of the seasons. The humidity of the early summer made it hard to cool off once anyone stepped outside, and the only solace was to stay inside where there was AC or to wear as few clothes as possible.

....This outfit was still taking it a little too far for decency.]

[Oh...yes, that's true enough, it was warm. Pen was pretty much dressed down herself, though not so fine as Felicia. A tanktop, short shorts, her bra straps barely hidden and sweat having beaded down her low-cut front.]

Is that a fact?

[Reaching up to run her thumb along Felicia's chin, she stepped back with a laugh.]

You look like you had something in mind, all dressed up like that. Something I'll like, hopefully?

Sorry for the late.

I don't know.

[Felicia said coyly, stepping aside with a mischievous grin.]

That depends entirely on how... adventurous you're feeling.

[Bending down, her thin camisole revealed nothing overt-- but just enough to set a person's imagination spinning wildly as she retrieved her chocobo-ridden package with a blinding grin.]

I got you a present. As congratulations for finishing finals and getting through your first semester.

It's always okay with me, you know.

Adventurous eh?

[Pen couldn't not look, not when Felicia was standing just like that. She was just tall enough that Pen caught a good look at her when she bent, her eyes sparking with delight and something much, much more heated.

Felicia knew just how to make her feel more than a little warm...]

And a present. Huh...

[She reached out to accept it, a sappy, happy grin on her face.]

Honestly you shouldn't have. I'd have been happy with just you in that outfit.

[But she'll open it all the same!]
